come and sit here for a while

This is a memory drawing. I saw a sculptor make a piece like this, in a wood, in a park, many many moons ago. Actually it probably didn't look anything like this, but that's the interesting thing about memory drawings. How much of this drawing was dragged out of my long term memory and how much came from my imagination? I will never know. This is in ballpoint, and I quite like it. It's called 'Fairy Chair'. Now I don't know whether that's what the sculptor called it or whether I've just made that up.

Cheers guys.

I must admit I'm very happy with this one. I really like the idea of these 'memory drawings' too. I think it's something I'd like to do more of. Drawing from memory - with no visual reference material to rely on really gives you the oppurtunity to work from a different place. I love that! I don't know if that makes any sense, but I kind of understood it!

My love affair with the ballpoint continues...

Thanks again for visiting and taking the time to comment.

Cheers France, it was just a sketch - I was thinking of doing a painting of it but I like it like this. I won't bother with the painting. Cheerios!

Sorry Andrea,
I don't know why Google is showing my name as 'About Me'? Gremlins in the works I guess.
