a couple of oldies

I have done some work on a couple of different alphabet projects in the past. One was an ABCD project from which I have already posted two pictures - they can be found in November's archives. The two letters you see here are from a different project. With this one I completed the whole alphabet. These are a couple of my favourites from it.
These are small drawings in fact the originals are not much bigger than as you see them here. Therefore I'm not sure whether enlarging them will do them any favours.

These are super! I love the first one, perhaps it's obvious why.. Plus it's a very nice colour!

Oh Andrea...these are two of my favorites, especially the "G." I love, love, love, love it! The expression on the children's faces is priceless. Especially the goalie. Oh, I feel sorry for him!

I think what works so nicely here is the contrast between the letter, which is rather rigid, and your characters, which her soft and sweet. I think this contrast brings out the best of both.

They are delightful and brilliant, what great illustrations for a children's book ... or for me! I love them both.

I love the texture in both letters. And you know what else is so cute? The players' ears!!

Thanks guys for your lovely and encouraging comments.

Suzanne - you always seem to point something out that I've never realy noticed or thought of before. Thank you for that!

Renate - you know what? I am avoiding working on my book. Why? I don't know - although I have some ideas! It was just how I used to be about drawing- always avoiding it, doing anything else instead. AND yet it's what I want to do more than anything else??! Theres something happening here where I won't give myself permission to have what I want, to do what I want. Does anyone else relate to this???

Cheers everyone for your comments. They are much appreciated.
