I actually can't believe I'm posting this. It's something I doodled on the cover of the address book insert of my Moleskine Diary. A doodle in the true sense of the word. I was working the ink through some old fountain pens. And this happened.
Chances are if you are reading this now, it won't be here the next time you visit. That's if you ever come back, of course.

Andrea,
You underestimate your talent-- I love it! : ) BTW I ordered my zine, but are you shipping to the US yet?
---Laura
i love this too. Whimsical and cute, without needing to be too polished.
I do hope you keep it up for us to look at. Just your lettering alone has me captivated.

I love it xx
Please keep it here - it is a lovely fantasy illustration.
That is wonderful!!! What a way to creatively doodle!
yes I love it very much.. keep it pls...
what a great doodle!!!! and what a cool idea for the cover of your address insert.
oh, yeah, and btw, can't wait to get the 'zine (i'm over here across the pond) ..
It's beautiful! Like a dream.
Yeah, well, I like it too.
This is great...why would you remove it?
So very lovely! Long may it sail (I hope)!
never underestimate the value of a doodle
nor be ashamed of what flows from the hand
do not delete this, this is the best "doodle" i have seen.
Ahhhh...doodles are the best, though, aren't they? I love to chill out to a doodle; in that sense, they are the most intuitively sound form of artwork.
Lovely. (looks like you aren't allowed to delete this posting now)
Andrea - are you an ex-pat kiwi? I see a few New Zealand references here and there. Particularly with your stamps.
oh...don't delete it. See? It even brings on comments from the lurkers like me!
Please leave it up. It's lovely.
And I thought I wasn't too bad at doodles, well NOW I KNOW that I suck at it!! LOL!! Keep it, it is just amazing as always!!
You're the only person I know whose doodles look like works of art!
O M effing G!!!
You are kidding right???!
I've never been so surprised at a response. I was cringing as I logged onto my blog this morning.
Wow.
Laura, just a few more days and they'll be out. Hopefully, Friday I'll start shipping. There should be photos up before then. 'Citing!
Debrina, no. All Brit. Sometime back I asked people if they could send me some stamps for a project. I had a MASSIVE response. And a lovely big bundle from NZ. The butterflies on my zine/Moley cover are some of my faves.
Well, I'm still in shock.
Thank you, ALL. You make my day.
WOW!
WOW!
WOW!
WONDERFUL! Oh how I love your doodling. I love to see the things which you think are rubbish. It's so dream-like. I really do love it. I want to store it in my memory so that I can still look at it when you've deleted it.
I really like that cat.
I love it - beauty are in the flaws. It's great to see you doodling. And even though your "delete-key" is calling or screaming for your attention, please keep it online!
I adore this. While I like your very precise detailed work, this is just lovely. I'd buy this as a postcard. It kind of reminds sme of the Le Chat Noir from the french posters.
Awesome page and fantastic composition!
If your Moleskine could talk, it'd say "THANK YOU MASTER FOR MAKING ME SO BEAUTIFUL!" ^^
wow....ur doodle is sumthin else!!!
I think it is beautiful! Sometimes it is best if we just relax, grab the pens/pencils/watercolors.. and just draw! I remember at the first drawing class at the uni the teacher made us paint with our eyes closed, just to relax and do not really care about the final product :)
This isn't the first time I've seen your self-deprecating posts & they make me laugh my head off. Your style is so truly indicative of the person I've perceived in my mind thru your post, that when I see a sketch with a similar flavor...I'm always like "Hey, that looks like something by Andrea Joseph!!!" You're talent is amazing!!!!
You are too, too harsh on yourself! I love this! Especially the composition! Please leave it up!
I really like this Andrea. It's a nice sketch doodle.
It's a lovely, fanciful drawing. Add me to the voices saying "keep it - don't delete it!". :-)
Wow, is an amazing doodle!!!
This is so lovely- really dreamy and a bit strange too! That's what's so great about doodles- all sorts of things emerge. Gorgeous.
Unbelievable.
You lot are MENTAL. In a good way, of course.
G, it's my screensaver already.
Cheers, guys.
seems like great fun to me and not all work need beperfect in all respects! Some can be fun and relaxing and humorous.
it's delightful - like a peek into a dream! i like seeing different sides of artists - thanks for sharing the doodly part of you.
Soooooo Dreamy - and why would you ever remove this?????
It's so beautiful! Love the whimsical cat, and the moon, the way the ... bubbles? frame the pink drawing... very poetical and lovely!
You're an amazing doodler and I hope you don't remove this! I love so many things about it, including the two swirls just above the moon that look like Charles Rennie Mackintosh roses!
It's a fabulous doodle and I'm so glad you posted it. It's wonderful to see the artist's mind at work...or to see the artist's mind wandering. Either way...it's beautiful and fascinating.
Oh wow, this doodle is gorgeous! Hope you keep it up cuz it is just fabolicious! Doodle on, my friend ... doodle on!!!
I'm really impressed with this! it isn't a doodle at all!!! More like AJ becoming a little bit more relaxed with her medium! Great to see. It is a real privelage to watch someones art develop. Cheers!x
Intiguing and full of lovely fantasy. Please don't take it away!
Andra this is wonderful. It's fun. Sally
You're going to think I'm nuts, but I love this too. I have a page in my current sketchbook on which I was trying out how different "waterproof" pens reacted to watercolor wash -- just doodles -- and every time someone looks through my book they stop at that page and go "wow". Go figure; but thanks to you, now I think I understand. You've inspired me, maybe I'll post that one on my blog as well now. There's something about the unconscious mind at work that's compelling, I think.
Thats the most beautiful bit of 'trying out if a pen works' scribble I've seen, why not make that frustration into a work of art!! Leave it up, it inspires us all...
Leave it be! It's a delicious doodle
This is the 50th comment!!!
You are all crazy nuts. Thanks all the same, but you are crazy nuts.
Cheers, my dears.
i think i am the 51st person who left comment here and said "i love it". :-)
andrea, you are always awesome!
Yey I'm comment 52! The doodle, as with all your artwork is just lovely! What I think are funniest of all are your responses to the comments made - brilliant, you made me laugh out loud :o) , good old British self-deprecation. We definitely do it best!
I really like the free-ness of it even the messyness works
I love it. Sometimes it is nice to see something more free flowing. I wish you would post this more often. :)
It's beautiful and very creative!
