I have already completed this challenge once before. However, I think this drawing is probably more appropriate for this particular theme. As this is the chair is where I do most of my drawing. And, anyway, I don't suppose I'll get thrown out of the group for completing the challenge twice.
I drew this, in one hour, last night while watching (well, listening to) a documentary on Edith Piaf. From now on, every time I see this drawing, I will think of Edith Piaf. There is something that really intrigues me about those random associations.

Neat chair and it looks so comfy for drawing. I knkow what you mean about associations.
I love the texture on this. Is it ink or pencil? There's something about drawing chairs that evokes a lot of sitting memories there :-)
So this is where you do most of your drawing from? How cool is this. Again, you make objects so appealing. And if you get "kicked out" for doing this EDM challenge twice, think of where i could be now for doing the car challenge over 20 times!!
And it's ok if this one is forever associated with Edith Piaf! My drawings are mostly done to Bob Dylan... :-)
Cheers guys!
This isn't a very stylish chair, it must be said, but it is very comfortable - like a ancient pair of jeans or something. I just sink into it and draw!
Nita, it is both pen and pencil. All drawn in pen and a little shading with colour pencil. And yep your right France, if they kick me out then there's no hope for you!!
Thank you.
Merry christmas.
I like this your drawing.
Because I imagin.
....
Who is sitting?
What is drawn beyond?
Absence of existence.
Between the line and the line.
....
Thank you Kuriyama,
I like your comment. Your words are always thought provoking.
I know what you mean about pictures having the music or stories embedded in them. I usually listen to books I download from Audible.com while I paint and draw so the story I was listening to at the time is permanently entwined with the drawing. This chair looks so comfy!
That's nice Jana. I like that comment.
I usually listen to music and I really believe that it has some affect on your drawing. If I ever take on a drawing or painting that is going to take some time (not doing much of that these days, they're all finished in a day)I like to have the same album on throughout. It doesn't feel right if I change music, which can mean playing the same album over and over and over again. And I guess that means that that music is 'embedded in that picture'. I like that!
Cheers!
This is great!!
I'm "alucinating" with your work!! It's fantastic, wonderful!!!
