going green

I've decided to invest in some new pencils. They are expensive, and I am poor, so I'll get them colour by colour. I started with the greens because, at the time, I was drawing Brussel sprouts! This is the reason why most of my recent posts have been green lately. I've had enough green for now though. This is the last one for a while.

You're wonderful! I just loved this post--something so quirky about just buying green to draw brussel sprouts cracked me up. (and beautifully drawn as well). I'll be scrolling down to find the brussels now.

Now i am noticing that there has been a dominance of green in your latest posts!
I looked at the colored pencil and yes, it is green. Then i enlarged the picture and i saw your incredible craft in using color -- the delicate strokes and the different hues. Gorgeous, just gorgeous.
What brand of colored pencil do you buy these days?

Thanks guys!

Yes, Jana when I was posting this I thought it sounded ridiculous! Buying green pencils to draw Brussel sprouts!!

France, I have been using Karisma for so long and now they've gone and discontinued them! (Don't you hate it when they do that). I wanted to try some watercolour pencils so these new ones are Faber Castell watercolour. However I am still trying to master them - I'm finding that quite difficult, so I just use them as ordinary pencils! I'm wondering which colour to buy next?? Expect a series of yellow pictures soon!

Cheers!!
