coin purse at funny angle

This is rubbish. This is a coin purse and it's rubbish. The cross-hatching is a mess. The perspective is all wrong, which is why I rotated it to this funny angle. You weren't fooled though were you? It's still rubbish. It's only redeeming feature is the zip and it's the only reason I'm posting it. Well, that and it took AGES.

There's too much good about this to consider it rubbish. The zipper is amazing! The colors are fabulous! The details are exquisite! IMHO, it is the center flower that is throwing off the perspective and it seems to me that if the area between the flower and the blue piping was a little bit darker it would make it appear that the fabric of the purse in sloping in and hence the flower would be in perfect perspective.

I think you're right Brenda, it is definatley the flower that throws it off. I might just mess around with it - see if a litle more shding in that area works. I'll post it if it does! Thanks for visiting and taking an interest. I appreciate it.

Cheers!

The zipper works -- and it's true, the flower doesn't. But does that make it rubbish? I think it's fun. Thank you for going ahead and posting it -- even though it was probably a source of great frustration.

I can almost hear your accent coming through this post and I LOVE IT! I wish I was British! I don't think I've ever used the word 'zip' but it is so cute....I think I'll start. For now though, I think you've made quite a wonderful post out of "rubbish!"

Oh my gosh, how can you say it's rubbish? It looks great to me! I can't imagine spending the amount of time it took to draw a little coin purse and then be so mad at it. It's charming!

If only I could do such "rubbish" . . . the minor imperfections are what make it so unique.

There are so many great things about this. The zipper is just divine. Great use of color as well.

I adore the patience you have when drawing. There is nothing wrong with the purse in my eyes.
Wish you a Happy New Year!

Andrea, if this is rubbish I'm going to quietly go and bash my head against a brick wall till I drop ... first I'll repeat myself and say that your drawings are all gorgeous, this one inclusive. Cheers.
