This little elephant is actually an incense holder. You stick the joss stick in one of the little holes in his head. It's a bit like elephant acupuncture.

Beautiful job with the shading...so soft and just right for this little elephant. My best friend has been making large ceramic elephants lately. I hadn't really noticed elephants before hers and now I'm noticing what cool creatures they are and seeing them everywhere.

You know Suzanne when I look at your work and what you manage to do with your drawing I always think I'd like to draw more like that.Your drawings are so clean and the thing I don't manage too well is knowing when to stop. I tend to overwork my pictures, sometimes. Thats what I'd like to get better at clean, simple lines. Why are we never satisfied? (or is that just me?)
France, that would be a very interesting EDM challenge - especially when then are no pictures to go by!
Julie- I was thinking about the same thing with regard to drawing other EDMers! I think it would be so interesting to draw how we imagine others...I wonder what the results would be!

Goodness, your lines are so delicate -- it gives your drawings a dream-like quality while sticking to the details. Beautiful.
I am in awe of your ability to use changes in value as opposed to lines. This is something that I am wanting to get better at.
