Chips - aaah chips. Good old British fare. Not fries or frites but chunky chip shop chips. Nowhere in the world makes chips quite like we make them here in the UK. I don't mean that as a compliment or an insult - but somewhere in between. When they are good they are very very good and when they are bad they are horrid. The smell of chips, to me, is the best thing since sliced bread - which, incidentally, is the ONLY bread to make a chip buttie with. Sliced, white bread.(Translation; UK 'chips' = USA 'fries'. USA 'chips' = UK 'crisps'.)

Hello and thanks everyone! I must say that I am pleased with this picture. I enjoyed doing this one and I had some fun with it! Littlemithi it is certainly NOT the Daily Mirror! It's more of one those local newspapers, you know the kind. Where any story, no matter how small, will do! Cheers.

I love all the work on your blog, you have such a unique way of rendering things, and the colours you use are fabulous. You manage to tone them down ever so slightly to a very soft and yet rich colour scale, and it´s all so expressive. Love it!
