these are better days

I've been drawing quite a lot this week. Had a week off work which helps. I was going to keep this until tomorrow to post. But I can't wait until tomorrow. I'm proud of this one and I want to post it now. Hope you like it too. It's my wallet.

Looks like your wallet is bursting open...with money?

Wow Andrea, you most certainly should be proud of this one (and every single one of your pieces!), I can feel the leather and the soft folds inside are so remarkably detailed, it's Brilliant.

Beyond excellent! This is a stunning example of just how consistently wonderful your work is. That edge that has the slight curve to it, the appearance that you could just reach in and pluck a note from it, all of it!

Thanks everyone,

I am really happy with this. Unfortunately it is not bursting with money - quite the opposite!

Cheers.

Well, it's easy to see why you would be proud of this one. The texture, the highlight, the way you captured that fold ... all of it is simply amazing.

Everything I think about these drawings has already been said. Adding something else wouldn't be enough to express how wonderful the 3 new drawings are, specially the last wallet. You're really amazing Andrea.

The pen is feeling comfortable in your hand, I can see. Great eye hand coordination, Andrea. Keep going while your feeling positive.

Just seen your post at EDM for this Andrea - it's been sooo long since I visited you here, my apologies. And you know, I can almost smell the leather on this one!!! Stunning, brilliant pen work as always and so many tiny details, you have much patience. I'd love to see an illo of yours stepped out one of these days :)

Amazing! Your lines weave such wonderful pictures! To me, your line work looks woven not crossed and that is what makes your pictures look so wonderful! Love your work!

Thanks for the comments, I'm touched.

Brian, it's funny I always think that about Mariana's work - it looks like woven cotton.

Your hatching is just so... unbelievable! Awesome. Even the little words on the cards inside the wallet. And the very edges of it, how they curl just the slightest bit. Wow!

Wow, this is great. I'm constantly amazed at the different textures you're able to describe with a sharp point. The wallet, the table top, and the light is always great in your sketches.

Thanks guys.

Anthony, I'm always interested in what you have to say. I admire your work so much. It is very different from what I do but is SO inspiring.

Cheers both.
