looking down on everything

I just found this in one of my sketchbooks - just as I was thinking that this blog could do with a bit of green. Drawn on the plane to Barcelona, in colour pencil.

What a neat view and really what we see out of a plane.

You and I think alike. Every so often I feel the need to add color to my blog too. You gotta think about that overall composition!

Thank you everyone!

Suzanne, you are right - I always view this blog as a 'whole'. I'm like that with my sketchbooks too. I love designing the layout. I love to see the spontaneous sketches, journals and pages that some artists create. Sometimes I wish I had a more 'free' style myself but I'm far to obsessive!

Cheers!

Gorgeous colors, and what a neat topic. And i dream of going to Barcelona, so what a coincidence.

France, have you been to Barcelona? It is so fantastic. I dream of going again - there is just so much to see. We went for four days and packed so much in - and still didn't get to do everything we wanted. Just too many wonderful sights to see. And of course all that Guadi.

Thanks for your message! Cheerios!

I dread the day when airlines start consider our coloured pencils as dangerous weapons. Heaven forbid that we will be forced to watch the movie instead of creating wonderful art like this.

That's great - I've always loved the view of fields from planes. Great idea for something to do on a flight - personally I sketch the backs of heads!
