sittin' around waiting for my life to begin

Lunch for one. Sad, innit?

I've become a little bit obsessed with this little book over the last few days. When I get into an idea, like this, I just cannot let go. It keeps me awake at night. The theme of the book, originally, was 'around the house'. It still is, but now I've developed the idea further. I've given it an added twist. And, quite frankly, if you can guess what that twist might be I'd be truly astonished. The two versions of this drawing are a clue, but I ain't going to reveal it. It's for me to know and you to find out.

I'm just loving the word 'astonish' these days. Isn't it a great word?

Hmmm....the game of life (and life at home) is like a game of chess: you make moves to get ahead, but you can only move according to the rules, and you have to have a strategy....just as you move from one room to another. LOL, I'm probably WAYYY off the mark here, but I sure would have liked to ASTONISH you....

  10. The only thing I see is a theme - of squares. Square table, square food, and then waaaay down below a square (retangle) box of wood.

Probably not what you're looking for and certainly not "astonishing", but then you're too clever by far!

  12. Thank you all, for visiting and commenting, you lovely folks.

Nope, sorry, none of you are even close.

Jeanne, I, too, often have no idea what I'm talking about!

Suzanne, I cannot wait. And, I can't wait to see all the new drawings of the new place. But until then, please post some photos for us.

    Cheerio, my ducks.

  13. Oh well, Andrea, I'm thinking it has to do with being alone around the house. Which is sad. But what's wrong with Tim? Or some other guy?
