  5. Oh, you have captured my favorite spice here! Favorite not because of their taste, but because of how pretty they are. Fantastic drawing, I never thought to draw ALL the star anises in the package... Beautiful!

  8. Holy smoke! I don't know which is more surprising, your attention to detail, or HOW FEW STAR ANISESESES there are in a jar!! I bet they smelled good, too. Here's a miniature rendering of a jar of cinnamon: ^

    Yeah, the star anise is the prettiest of all the spices, and it was the sweetest smelling subject.

    I think this one looks better in 'real life'. A bit disappointing on screen. Oh well.
