these boots aren't made for walking (or driving)

One of the most annoying things about wearing heels, in my opinion, is that you just cannot drive in them. Well, I can't (I do know people who do). This means keeping driving shoes in the car and having to change them every time you get in and out of the vehicle. That whole scenario is made even more annoying when you are wearing boots like these. All that zipping and unzipping. Especially when you are, say, at a retail park driving from outlet to outlet. Getting out at TopShop, Next and NewLook - zip and unzip. Then driving over to Marks and Spencers, Borders and Starbucks - on and off with the boots. Over to Tescos - zip unzip. The Range - zip unzip. Then back to the original park you started in - off and back on. Then, finally, Morrisons - zip and unzip. Annoying enough for you the driver but spare a thought for the poor passenger. Sorry Cla!

Oh, it wouldn't bother me - I'd love to go shopping to those places with you! Great boots - well worth the trouble! ;)

Hahahha! That sounds like a bit of a headache! I hate driving and pushing the darn clutch with heels -- and i'm tall enough as it is -- but i think i would prefer that inconvenience to the trouble of changing shoes.
I wear Danskos anyway. :-)
All this to say that this is a really cool piece, Andrea. And i do love the boots too.

I don't think I would bother! I wear flip flops! This is awesome Andrea, sorta reversed your style here, with the details in the background. And yes, some of us would actually attempt to read your deepest thoughts. LOL. (PS: not so scary) *wink*.

Hello!
I just stumbled across your blog and just wanted to say how much I like it... your drawings remind me of books that I used to love as a child and which I somehow never find any more. Thanks for sharing them :)

Oh Andrea! This is so clever. And I love how you put the shadows in so it isn't just a simple cutout - really really wonderful.

Thank you all, lovely peeps!

Felicity, you'd get fed up after the third stop!
France, I don't know Danskos. I'll Google them.
Jo, it is different from the usual stuff and I'm quite worried that you read that stuff!! He he.
Viviane, thank you for such a lovely compliment.
Juj Aand Suzanne, thank you both girls!

Cheers.

I knew there was a reason I don't wear boots....I love the way you've done this, and the boots look great. Probably worth the trouble after all....

Well, I'm not a boot person, so I can't sympathisize too much. Shoes are much easier to slip on and off :~). Of course, it is possible to drive in heels . . .
Love the drawing, btw!

normally i would say it's worth it for some beautiful boots...but maybe not for a shopping day such as yourS! haha
your drawing is incredible though! how did you have the patience for all those words!!!!!!?????

I personally have an obsession with combining text and images! Great job!

LOVE this one!...but then, it does have footwear in it and without blinkers or a bloody good shove I can't seem to pass footwear without dribbling.
Really like the text going on in the background.

PS...I can drive in anything...yes, anything....which makes footwear all the more irresistable.

It sounds like a good work out to me, though! but I agree, can't drive in heels, so I just stick to flat heels, boots and all.
Love the sketch and very effective background

Thanks ladies,

Yep, I have a friend who can drive in killer heels. I don't know how he does it! Ha ha, joke. It is a she.

Cheers.
