Zip from my bag. Ok this will be the last drawing in this pen - for a little while anyway. This blog needs a bit more colour. I haven't been feeling too good this week hence the lack of posts. I just feel like curling up on the settee with a Lemsip, a hot water bottle and a cat. Oh. Hot water bottle in this pen. Now that sounds good to me...
sorry you're feeling 'puny' and hope you're better soon. lovely zipper.
ReplyDeleteGreat detail! I like the idea (even though it may not have been deliberate) of doing a series with Sepia being the common denominator.
ReplyDeleteHi Andrea,
ReplyDeleteLovely artwork, again. The sepia elemnts of the blog are fine, but I hear what you're saying about more colour.
I wouldn't mind seeing a bit more colour - simply to draw in other readers. There is no doubt about the qualilty of your work.
Remember to check Aussiejourno's Weekly Blog Awards this weekend.

I'm not sure I'm tired of the sepia...can you keep it around just for me? :) I've got to try this zooming in technique more. I love what you've done here.
ReplyDeleteI'm not tired of the sepia either! I am always in absolute awe at what you can do with a pen!! I hope you are feeling much better very soon.
ReplyDeleteCheers guys!
ReplyDeleteI'm really happy with this one. This zip is from a brown canvas bag and, I think, the cross hatching looks like the fabric.
I love sepia - I've always been a big sepia ink fan. It reminds me of really old illustration work.
Cheers!
I just saw your blog for the first time today. Your work is amazing. The detail is wonderful. I am a bit intimitated, but still inspired to do more drawing! Thanks for sharing your talent.
ReplyDeleteLovely illustration! I was drawing zippers on my bag last week (ended up as a quick scribble and a bit of a mess!) so I really admire your patience here!
ReplyDeleteGoodness Andrea, I almost unzipped this!! :) Wonderful work!
ReplyDeleteThanks guys
ReplyDeleteTami - when I was lurking around these drawing blogs (before starting my own)I felt totally intimidated! The best solution, I found, was to dive right in and try not to compsre yourself to others. Easier said than done though, eh?! Thanks for visiting - everyone!
Sorry to hear you're feeling under the weather. But, the zipper pic is wonderful as is all of your work. You have very interesting things in your life. :-)
ReplyDeleteYour drawings have so much detail, I really enjoy them!
ReplyDeleteCheers both!
