I got this tin from a trip to the Colman's Mustard shop in Norwich. Yep, I really know how to have a good time. I live life on the edge.WARNING: Ladies never try to apply make-up whilst on the bus. That's what the lady with the baby did. And look what happened to her. Poor cow.

ReplyDeleteYou seem very accomplished in your work too, how long have you been illustrating? When did you notice your *style* come about or was it a gradual cumulative kind of thing? I'm working towards something as I progress in my art, not sure what at this point though (lol) so I'll keep my day job until things come together better.

ReplyDeleteI have a similar tin that is a plantation truck full of coffee workers. It's a Starbucks tin (from way long ago before Starbucks was as ubiquitous as Mc Donald's) and I keep dog biscuits in it.

Laura - I have been illustrating all my life although sometimes, along the way, I've forgotten how important it is to me. I hope I'll never forget again. It's a funny thing - the style thing. I've never thought that I had one of my own. It's only since starting this blog that I've begun to see some kind of 'style'. I too am working toward something and I too am not sure what that something is - I think it's the best way to work. Something will surface through your work - and that thought REALLY excites me!
Brenda - Birds custard is still going strong in this country. Not in this house though!!
