look up and you'll see me

Clearly, I haven't thought the idea for this new book through. Because this is the space I'm left to work with on the next page.....

Now what the bloody hell do I do with that? Hmmmm.

  1. Cool concept but I bet it would be expensive to die cut pages like that for reproduction as a book.

As always I'm impressed with your great artwork.

  2. Hmmm, maybe show us the kittys having a fish-n-chips party behind the restaurant during the night?

  3. Oh the perils of sketchbookery. Hey, I just made up a great new word. You can steal it if you like. Hehehe. I read in your last post that you actually don't use a pencil, HOW do you do this??? What if you make a mistake? How do you get straight lines? Geez, what if you overestimated the size of the page and the drawing doesn;t fit as you get to the other side??!!? Tell me your secrets, Oh wise one with the pen! LoL. Artist to artist, whisper it in my ear, I'm sooo addicted to pencil first I even use it when I'm just doodling around. Aaarrrggg!

Draw a low brick wall topped by ornate iron fence--ivy covered naturally. Then have a pair of eye peeking through, aimed at the fish market. There's a calico cat atop the brick wall, and it's licking its paws, unaware of the snoop/spy. There's a mystery on!

Your work is amazing. Imagination paired with talent? Oh, my! Good things happen then! Thanks for letting us play.

Um, can giraffes bend their heads low? Just wondering. :) Imagine trying to hide one next to a fish and chips shop! Wish I could illustrate half as well. Goodness, what a story I'd tell!

  8. Wonderful drawing. I like the colours and especially the old granny with her bag. I like the idea of 'pedalpower'. I also would love to see what's going on behind the restaurant at night.

  9. Thanks, folks.

Haha, I love the idea of the cat's having a party!

Jennifer, I do all those things! I just don't post it. Actually, its quite easy to cover up a mistake. believe me. I make many! I'm going to do a post shortly about the pens used (in the review) and the way I used them. that might answer some of your question. Thanks.

About this drawing, or at least the space, I added a piece of black card to show the shape of the page so it isn't actually black. However, I feel after reading all the suggestions that it should be a night time drawing. Thank you all.

    Cheers, my dears.
