Another image that just appeared in my head a couple of days ago. I'm not sure that I've executed it as well as I could have, but it's a part of this whole graphic novel idea which is currently growing and taking over my life. I feel, when I get like this, that I have to draw as much of it as I possibly can. So that I don' forget. So that I always remember the feeling of it. I don't know if that makes any sense. Maybe it does. Maybe it doesn't. It might come to something one day. Or it might just pass. But, right now, I'm living and breathing it.

some moments that i've had
Another image that just appeared in my head a couple of days ago. The car through the keyhole looks a bit sinister to me.
ReplyDeleteIt looks great, what sort of Novel are you doing? I couldn't help but think along the lines of Alice when I saw this, only Alice through the keyhole as opposed to through the looking glass. hehe. I know what you mean about the feeling, it does make sense, loving the passion!!

ReplyDeleteI Love it!! and I know exactly what you mean. sometimes i get an idea late at night and have a nice ebb and flow of how it should come out... I wait til morning and still have the idea but the wonderful feel of story of it just isn't there. We have to run with inspiration as soon as it grabs our hands and starts moving!

ReplyDeleteAhhh, just LOVE the detail! It may drive you bonkers to do it but us, your loyal followers, sure love it. And most of us "get" the feeling you talk about. Common affliction. Keep it up.
ReplyDeleteYes, I totally understand that "gotta get it down while it's here" feeling. My life, with three kids, etc. does not always allow for it though. Can't wait to see what comes pouring through you!

ReplyDeletelove your new idea. i've always been drawn toward images where the viewer is looking either out or in, like thru a window or thru a door, with just a hint as to what's on the other side. it's a fun technique for art journaling, or just regular writing for a journal or a story. but you've taken it to a new level with your clever details! what's that spider web on the front of the car? what's the acorn sticker mean? is there any significance to the dog sitting on that little window patio? are there hidden images in the branches and leaves and sky? so much fun!!! and all that thru a keyhole to boot ... yeay!

What incredible detail, and I love the concepts of the key hole. It kind of brings the kid out in me. My Grandfather use to have that Kind of lock on his house, Sadly the breakdown of society caused him to have to update the locks

ReplyDeleteit makes perfect sense, but for me, it's writing that i have to do when those times come, not drawing. tho' it's also sometimes sewing.
