I am now feeling determined to finish this travel themed Moley. Maybe by the end of the year. I know it might not sound like the most ambitious ambition (?) in the world, but these spreads do take hours - and sometimes I'm talking about double figures. Not that I'm complaining. I just love to draw, so I'm going to go hell for leather in this sketchbook. Time permitting, of course.
Anyway, to celebrate my return to the travel Moleskine I've put a sale on the zine that I've produced from this book. It contains nine drawings all with a travel theme. Buy it now by visiting my little shop HERE.
Andrea, you've made my day. I was debating weather or not I should go and draw and now I see that it's what I should go and do. These are wonderful, I love your lettering. It's go to see you back in action. I've got lots of new things up on my blog too; stop by and visit :)

Its times like these that I wish I had -this- kind of artistic talent. I really enjoy being creative with my writing and wish I could be creative with a pencil as well.

I love your blog :)
ReplyDeleteyour images are beautiful.
ReplyDeletei wonder...do the drawings come first, then the words...or visa versa? Or both simultaniously?
Thanks, everybody.
ReplyDeleteAnd, thanks to Blogger for sending all you new visitors here. I am most pleased to meet you.
Amanda, that's an interesting question, and one I'd never thought about before. It must be a bit of both. Sometimes a few words will pop into my mind and I see a drawing immeadiately. Then sometimes an idea for a drawing will trigger off a whole story. like this;
I was in a charity (thrift) shop the other day and found an old moustache grooming set. A beautiful little thing, I can't imagine how old it is. I bought it because I knew I could get a lovely drawing from it. By the time I'd drove home (about a ten minute drive)I had an entire story about an old long lost relativbe, great uncle Lord Charles, who the set belonged to??!! The drawing of the set and uncle Charles will appear one day, when I get the time. Hope you come back to see it.
Cheers, my dears.
I just saw a really big Moleskin sketchbook this past weekend. It was at least "11 x "17. One was about average sketchbook size and then there was another in between. So they ARE making them bigger. :-)
ReplyDeletethe title of the book is very random but it has to have a meaning of some sort or there is no point to it. haha
ReplyDeleteincredible! i've always loved anything creative and i've loved to draw for years-but unfortunately...practice never made me perfecT! :)
ReplyDeleteLove your drawings and nice to find a fellow moleskine fan - I absolutely love them!
ReplyDeleteThank you, thank you, thank you.
ReplyDeleteGenius Moose, I do believe they are now making larger sketchbooks - in A4 and A3 size. A3! This is very exciting news, and yes, it'll be my next pruchase. Good old Moleskine.
Cheers, my dears.
