sing to me

Well, I'm back. After a visit to the homeland it's back to business. And, I mean it this time, I'm just itching to draw draw draw (although saying it is usually a mistake, it means I won't draw for a month). No, no, I really am in the mood for drawing.

And it's a new me that returns. A new diet and fitness regime. I'm giving up the chocolate and the vino and am going to get my shit together (again). I'm all inspired. Seeing things with new eyes. Like this. I'd never considered drawing a cork before. But you know when an object suddenly surprises you with it's unexpected beauty and you just have to draw it? Yeah? Well, that's what happened here. I'd never noticed how lovely a cork could be before.

Not half as lovely as a nice Claret though.

Well, I have to agree with that!
Now...just home from the shops where I saw(and didn't have my camera!) a cute kid with a toy dinosaur in a wagon.
I'll scan it for Flickr once I've drawn it.

Beautiful! You're right about never thinking such a mundane object could be so interesting. I'm always amazed by how much detail you get in a drawing and how soft your lines are. A very unique style. Glad you are back!

  12. Dear, I think you should be adding a proof that this is in fact a drawing, not a photo, lol :) I am kidding of course - I know you are that good!! I am impressed though that you even drew the little bit of red colouring on the edge - it looks so real!

p.s. I have a jar full of cork - I just love collecting them :)

  15. Thanks guys.

Glad you like it 'cos I do too. I'm still having scanner issues but it seems ok.

G, yeah, I was certainly thinking about it. I'm open to offers, but a year of alcohol for a Brit? Hmmm. Theres not enough money in the world. Did you get your new shoes, by the way?

Thank you all. You make my day.

    Where were you?
Beautiful drawing as always but I demand answers. Where is your homeland?

  19. Thanks, ladies.

Stephen, nowhere exciting. The homeland is Wales, and I now live in England. It's all the UK.

Cheers, folks. It makes me happy that you like this drawing.

  22. Thank you, guys.

G, most upset about that result. We all want to beat England don't we? I just shouldn't say it too loud, living in England and all.
