where'er you go

Click on drawings to view.

These are a couple of pages from one of the themed Moleskine sketchbooks I have on the go at the moment. This one is a kinda sorta travelly themed Moley. Sorta. Kinda.

You'd have thought I'd had enough of keys after the last drawing. But, it seems not. My friend, who'd heard about my thing for drawing keys, came into work with the most gorgeous old tin of the tiniest keys you could imagine. I cannot wait to get stuck into drawing them. So, more keys at a later date.

It's funny how these things happen, though, isn't it? Last night, I only popped out to the pub for half an hour and ended up coming home with a huge Tupperware box full of sea anemones, conchs, pebbles, lava, snail shells. And, a seahorse. Yes, a seahorse!! Cannot tell you how excited I am about drawing the contents of the Tupperware. But, more of that later, too.

Can't chat now, I have way too much to draw. Cheerio, my ducks.

  5. I'm waiting for the day when your drawings won't make me gasp in awe and utter the overused, "wow". I don't think it's ever going to happen! The bookmark looks like a scene from Mary Poppins. Enchanting.

  6. I love the way the keys are off the page and just popping in. :)

You could easily sell bookmarks! Or all kinds of things adorned with your drawings. :)

  7. Love, love, love your drawings.

Many people go to pubs and go home with others, hangovers, memory loss, less money...but you go home with magical little treasures. So cool!

I'd love to see more of the travel themed moleskin. Roofs are so fascinating aren't they? Reaching up towards the heavens the way they do. Your drawings are such a mood lifter :-)

  10. I love the bookmark too. Is it a fantasy location or a real one? It looks kind of Russian. The keyring drawing would make great giftwrap.

  14. OMG, what I wouldn't do with your tupperwear collection ... Did some one give it to you, or do you live by the seaside?

Love your keys ... I always get a really good sense of 'wholeness' drawing them :)

  16. Hi Andrea - just catching up with your work - sorry not to have visited for so long. Your bookmark is striking and should surely be reserved for only books of the highest literary quality!
I have finally got around to doing a drawing using a ballpoint pen and am amazed at how nice it to use - thank you for the inspiration. x

  19. Cheers, peeps.

Stepehen, 6:49. That's just wrong. The last time I saw that time of the morning is when I've been up drawing all night. Or singing and dancing to Crosby Stills and nash, in my living room. But, that's another story, and probably one I shouldn't be admitting too.

Donna, I had the hangover too. In the past I've also left the pub with an electric sewing machine! I don't know how, but it happened.

Doris, you'll see more soon.Very soon.

Kay, it's a bookmark from Prague. So you were close. Yeah, I think it would make good gift wrap or wallpaper or fabric. I'd love to continue the theme with keyrings from around the world.

Mithi, I was loaned the seaside goodies. For drawing, of course. Love your keys!

    Suzann, i hope so too.

Hope I answered all the qusetions there. Thanks a lot, guys. I'm going to be boring you with more of this Moley over the next couple of weeks. I'm just warning you.

This has to be the longest comment EVER.

    Cheers.
