could be in a dream

OK, here is one of those examples of taking a drawing too far. I think. I really should have left it as it was. And, now, I'm even contemplating laying down the shadows, in the version below, on each and every one of the woodland hair accessories. I'm exhausted just thinking about it.

Oh well, you win some, you lose some. Bit annoying, though.
And if you still don't know; click on the drawings for a better view. Go on, stick your beak in.

You never disappoint...I still get a quick jolt of "Wowza!" with each drawing you reveal! And then when I click on the image to enlarge...Bam! Over the moon!

Your hare accessories are outstanding and lovely - I only have a little hair left so I would like to order the loaded oak comb and the cricket hair grip while I can still use them - Thank You very much -

This is so lovely!
It reminds me of a book called "FAIRIE - ALITY" which is a fashion catalogue for fairies!!

The addition of the receipt is great so I don't think you've overworked it at all. Cute, humorous and clever.

Fantastic!

Yeah, it wouldn't have been complete without the receipt... It's beautiful

I am in agreement with almost everyone so far. I like the addition of the receipt, and it definetly is not overworked.

Absolutely gorgeous and magical! They just take you to another world! I like the addition of the receipt too.

I love them both! I enjoyed having a look through and spotting all the woodland-themed things - the acorns, the flowers, the little house on the hair clip and the winter tree on the other hair clip (I love that tree) and even the spinney helicopter thing on the hair bobble (you know - that thing you drop and it spins as it falls). I finally spotted the wood-grain hairband and hair clips. Genius! That receipt is brilliant too. You've got the Hare's font spot on.

I love that you did the receipt. Too far? Heck no.
Now I am off to see the large picture on Flickr so I can drool over it a bit. Well, you know what I mean.
:-D

It's a joke on Claire's accessories- a shop much frequented by my teenager! I'll need to show her this one!
Very, very clever!
Well done - what a job that must have been!

It's great - go for the shadows too - as long as you scan along the way do as much as you like! Beautiful.

Incredible as always...and I love the receipt. The only question I have is did you buy all of these for your hair...or for the purpose of the drawing. I've been known to do the later a time or two.

You're really something, you know that?

I have quietly stalked your blog for the past few weeks. I have to say I am very impressed with your use of cross-hatch. And this afternoon I ordered some pilot pens that you had mentioned because I couldnt find them any where! Awesome work, beautiful to look at, serene yet exciting, simple yet so so so complex.

Another adorable sketch, you were right Beth absolutly loved it! I'm in awe of the way you find objects to draw and make them your own - I think you missed one though... A hairgrip with a small stripey bowl and spoon :-). All the very best to you for the new year

This is so lovely, great imagination and fascinating to look at. You just want to get in there and see it close up.
I liked reading the list, it adds to the drawing.

You have created an exuberance of detail here Andrea! I recommend a nice cup of tea and a quick nap before you do another stroke. Then get up, stretch, and pat yourself on the back for having created another feast for the eyes.

Andrea - this is just amazing! I really like the one with the receipt too! The addition of shadows would be awesome but that is your decision.

Nothing more that pure and utter delight at viewing your latest creation. I just adore your work and since I discovered it last year (seems strange to say that now) I have each time been mesmorised by the detail and perfection of your work

I still don't know how you've got the patience to do those, but they're wonderful! I love the little house on the clip too - you should sell those ideas to a high street shop, the name of which temporarily escapes me... :-)

Always fun to catch up with your blog. Finally decided to leave a comment and say Hello. I like the recipe version... weights the picture to the left... ingredients for a more interesting composition. Look forward to visiting again!

When I first looked at this I saw a diagram of a skull (maybe because I've been studying the planes of the head?) So your title of "could be in a dream" seemed to fit -- a picture of a head filled with all the things it was dreaming about. I like both images but I know well that feeling of going one step too far. I so love drawings of collections of items and you are the Queen of such drawings!
