OK, here is one of those examples of taking a drawing too far. I think. I really should have left it as it was. And, now, I'm even contemplating laying down the shadows, in the version below, on each and every one of the woodland hair accessories. I'm exhausted just thinking about it.

Absolutely gorgeous and magical! They just take you to another world! I like the addition of the receipt too.
I love them both! I enjoyed having a look through and spotting all the woodland-themed things - the acorns, the flowers, the little house on the hair clip and the winter tree on the other hair clip (I love that tree) and even the spinney helicopter thing on the hair bobble (you know - that thing you drop and it spins as it falls). I finally spotted the wood-grain hairband and hair clips. Genius! That receipt is brilliant too. You've got the Hare's font spot on.
Andrea, I adore your drawings... they are what I would aspire to had I any patience AT ALL!!! Simply wonderful.

Incredible as always...and I love the receipt. The only question I have is did you buy all of these for your hair...or for the purpose of the drawing. I've been known to do the later a time or two.

I have quietly stalked your blog for the past few weeks. I have to say I am very impressed with your use of cross-hatch. And this afternoon I ordered some pilot pens that you had mentioned because I couldnt find them any where! Awesome work, beautiful to look at, serene yet exciting, simple yet so so so complex.

I still don't know how you've got the patience to do those, but they're wonderful! I love the little house on the clip too - you should sell those ideas to a high street shop, the name of which temporarily escapes me... :-)

Wow ... sound of jaw dropping on floor ...
When I first looked at this I saw a diagram of a skull (maybe because I've been studying the planes of the head?) So your title of "could be in a dream" seemed to fit -- a picture of a head filled with all the things it was dreaming about. I like both images but I know well that feeling of going one step too far. I so love drawings of collections of items and you are the Queen of such drawings!
