How you build up the layers in your drawings is fascinating. Perhaps you should consider doing a tutorial for those of us who only dream of being able to draw like. Maybe that would get you out of your funk? BTW, where/how did you learn your calligraphy skills? I'm always as blown away with the different styles of writing you use in your drawings as I am by your actual drawing skills.

I am fascinated with how you can get such detail from a ball point pen! Do you use any special techniques for making sure it doesn't get all goopey? This is really fantastic... keep going with this idea -- I love it!
Rhomany, this is the closest I'll get to a tutorial. I don't think I'd ever be able to put into words how I do this stuff. I just draw. Everything i do is self taught, so as far as the calligraphy is concerned it's just years of practice. I've always enjoyed it. Even when I wasn't drawing I was always doing the calligraphy stuff.
Pip, nope, I don't sketch this stuff in pencil first. Just light outlines of where things go. Then if I want to change it I can always draw over them.
Lynne, I do usually keep a pice of tissue to wipt the pens in case they get 'goopey'. Although if I do get pens that are like that I just stop using them for drawing. It's too annoying.
Still not quite sure where the pen is taking me but that's alright. It's really alright.
