This is what the inside of my head looks like. If you were to put a probe to my ear, and look inside, this is what you'd see. Endless lists and bits of paper. All in sepia, of course. And some blue. Always some blue.

Your drawings are always so intricate and interesting. What a treat to look at.
I want to see the parts that got cropped out...
I love the woodgrain. And the blue bits.

This may be my favourite drawing of yours ever! I love the "real" and "drawn" versions of the cat keyring! The combination of blue and sepia is perfect.
Perfection!
OH MY GOODNESS! I just discovered your blog and WOW! Such beautiful, beautiful drawings. I have a feeling I'll be coming back here often. I haven't even begun to look at you recommended links...
Hi there - I came across your blog kind of by accident and what a happy surprise, your work is beautiful.
Best wishes.
It looks fun inside there! Love your art. This one is awesome!
Your work is amazing!!! I Just love it!! I love drawings with intricate objects! We just lost in side of them, so much to see!!! Very good!!!!!
Wow, thanks for the response guys. I'm really touched. it took ages and I wondered whether I'd messed up with the blue ballpoint. Maybe not.
Cheers folks, you make my day.
Nothing short of amazing!!! Your drawings are such a labor of love!
I had to go on Flickr to see a large, crisp version. Amazing piece -- probably in my top five by you!!!!!
It may have taken "an age," but ohmygoodness! it was worth it!! And to think you did almost all of it with "the bloody sepia pen." ha ha (Yep, I enlarged and read your lists)
Hehe! What a wonderful glimpse you gave us of your inner workings Andrea! I can see that your creative juices are flowing again! Awesome work my friend!
Wow! This is stunning!!
Lately. looking at your work, I find myself running to iTunes to see what sort of music you're listening to. Great idea for a drawing.
Hey! How did you jump in my head as well? What a great way to explore all the things that get jumbled up in there.
This is awesome!!!!! It feels kinda voyeuristic and I like it!
This one's particularly nice. I think this would look great as a book illustration.
The blue ballpoint makes it, in my view. I love this!! Especially the little blue landscape.
Sometimes your drawings trigger off so many questions in my mind about the your approach/process ... I think they are magical.
And that's one busy head.
I love lists but mine never looked as good as yours. I like the 2 colors here. Just wonderful stuff.

Oh my Andrea, what wonderful drawings, they're all like puzzles (I love puzzles) ready to be put together to form the final picture ... absolutely brilliant, you make my fingers itch to get drawing again, how inspiring!
Your artwork is extraordinary, Andrea. And your delightful sense of fun and humor shine through. Great handwriting! What patience you have to do such detailed work. Fab!
My oh my... I haven´t checked you blog in weeks, and now look! I´ve missed all these wonderful posts, I didn´t even know they were there! Lucky thing I got here now, what if I had missed more?! Beautiful awesome work, as always! Inspiring!
Thank you all for such lovely comments folks. I really appreciate you taking the time to visit. Don't know what else to say, just...CHEERS!
I love the blue ink with the sepia. It really works well with the piece.
Awesome drawing! I, too, really like the blue ink with the sepia. Incredible work. Thanks for sharing!
these last few post are absolutely hypnotic!!
well thank you andrea - i have often wondered what the inner workings were like ;-)
seriously - just wonderful. (speaking as a list maker i completely understand of course - but i dont think my lists ever looked quite so good)
thank you again for sharing your wonderful work
Oh my goodness! And I thought _I_ was a master listmaker .... do you make lists of your lists too????
I just visited your blog for the first time...I absolutely love your sketches. Do you sell them?
Cheers folks,
Yes lists and lists. Lists of lists. I have actualy kept a load of my shopping lists - thinking I may do something with them?!
Ginny, most of my work (including the last few posts) is done in my Moleskine sketchbooks so I haven't been selling it. I will, soon, be changing that though so watch this space.
Thanks for the interest peeps.
This is fantastic!
How long does this take to draw????
So detailed!
This is wonderful--both the drawing and the concept of the back seat of my head! I love it! I'd be scared to draw mine but it's an interesting idea I'll be thinking about.
Thanks folks,
Anangeli, I worked on this over a few eeks doing little bits at a time. Not to sure how long it took altogether, but I would guess at least ten hours. Really.
Jana, I can't believe you'd be too scared of drawing like this, after all you draw your dreams! Now THAT is scary.
Cheers Jan, and everyone else.
