Andrea, there certainly is lots going on in this drawing! For some reason, I thought of the painting of God creating Adams, reaching down to touch his hand... The mind is a strange thing, eh? I always look forward to your drawings.
awesome work, as usual. and it makes me think of my mother's voice, who would be saying something like: "you should be washing those instead of rawing them." and I would be trying to ignore her voice. how long did you get lost for?
Your talent is amazing, Andrea, as is your delightful sense of whimsy! Always a pleasure to visit your blog. (BTW, the whole time I was drawing the child's rain cape, which was actually much much more detailed than I drew it, I kept thinking...."Andrea Joseph should be doing this....)
Once again, I am really surprised by the response to this one. Pleasantly surprised, of course. You can't really go wrong with an all blue drawing though.
Glassgirl, I got lost for quite a while. About 3 or 4 hours....maybe more.
Awesome to be able to create an ambiguous Michaelangelo with the week's washing! I wouldn't have imagined in a thousand years that drawing the family's clothes in heaps would be drawable! w.
Love your clouds of michealangelo! that is how I feel sometimes with laundry, but unfortunately, mine doesn't look(or sound) so poetic! I also enjoyed your cases drawings, with your socks in the corner(where you spilled) sort of the start of your clouds! ronell

ReplyDeleteYou've gone blue! This is like a lovely Delftware pattern, I do like the way it flows over the page.
