So my friend Tim isn't the jewellery kind. Well, not your gold plated chain kind anyway - more of your wooden beads bought on a Goan beach type of guy. However he never throws anything away. This drawing was made from some chains that he collected as a child. Before the teenage years (that we don't mention).
I'm really disappointed with this drawing actually. Quite uninspiring. I had a much better drawing in my head. I don't like the composition and no matter how many more chains I threw at it it didn't seem to get any better. Oh well.
Aaah, remember the days when Snickers were called Marathons and everything was good with the world?

Here's what I like about it. In the main bulk of it where all the chains are jumbled together, it starts to work like an abstract piece only with lots of detail. Detailed-abstract. A new form of art - hooray!
Do you give classes in Patience?
OMG, I got dizzy just looking at this! You have such a wonderful knack of taking many things and making them beautiful when they are all together!!
Detailed abstract!! Great choice of words.
Ooo I like this! You do seem to make the mundane look interesting...
You're out of your gourd :-) I think these chains are very graphic, and it makes for an original spread. I love your choice of composition. I'm off to favorite it on Flickr cause it's just so darn good.
This is wonderful andrea...it looks so tangled up on that one spot. Great work
