...when you don't really have any control over your desires to do it. " Noah Taylor.
To be frank I have no idea who Noah Taylor is. I was over at Ryan's place the other day and I saw this quote and I liked it. I was right in the middle of this drawing at the time and it just seemed to fit perfectly. I had no control over this drawing. I saw something completely different in my mind before I started it. This was not what it was meant to look like - but that's OK as I am happy with how it came out.

Ahh, the belt collection! Somehow I am not surprised :-) Great drawing, Andrea. That's interesting how the drawing dictated how you did it! But it seems to make perfectly logical sense that it would look this way!
thanks for both your comments. :) just a question: do you have problems with nudity or do you think that is okay if it is done in an artsy way? i was just wondering... :)
Croeso!
:D
I really like this! Nice composition and great hatching.
You are such a good artist!
Another awesome piece of art! You can take a collection of anything and make it so beautiful and so interesting.
Thank you guys!
This was another mammoth excerise in cross-hatching. I'm happy with it though - evn though it always looks so diferent when you upload it.
Ksklein - that is an unusaul question for a picture of belts?! I don't have any problems with nudity in art. I think that life drawing can help your drawing all around. That reminds me one of my New Year resolutions was to start a life drawing class. it's more the pressure of drawing in front of a group that I have problems with!
R.E. tee hee!
Cheers.
I'll volunteer my skills as a model! haha!
Anyway... very nice drawing, I like how you often group things together to make a collection of things to draw, makes the viewer compare them all and see them all as different..
I'm starting to waffle..
so beautiful....Andrea, always!
saludos from this side of the world!

Hi Andrea,
There's one belt you missed - the Bible belt!
Always a pleasure to visit. Don't forget to check where you're placed on Aussiejourno's Weekly Blog Awards.
Cheers

Just lovely and you make the ordinary extraordinary. I just love your illustrations.
Cheers guys. I really appreicate your comments.
One day (as soon as I've got the time) I'll get around to visiting your blogs. Promise! Thank you for taking the time out to visit mine.
looooove your themes in sepia and how they fill the page. I'm now looking forward to what the next theme will be. This really turned out great.
Love the textures you have going here, lovely.
Cheers guys,
this one looks so neat and clean in my sketchbook - much better than it does when uploaded. Oh well C'est la vie...
Your compositions are great. These belts look like wooden sculpture.
I love this belt collection!
