(night time is) the right time...

..for drawing cloves. Sorry, that was terrible. I was listening to Ray Charles whilst drawing it AND it did go on way into the night. Yes, it took hours. And hours. Still not sure about the composition. I can see areas where I could add a few more cloves but when do you stop?

I created this for Moleskine China's first birthday. I'm not sure how well it fits the birthday theme, but I like to think there's a party going on on the page. You'll need to click on the drawing to view it better. Excuse the hair on the scan - at least that's what I hope it is!

Goodness!! You do get into something full tilt!! I am amazed at your patience doing these kind of drawings. You can also add jealousy to that statement :)

ditto on teri's comment. You are endlessly and wonderfully inspired on your multiplies. You can make anything look impressive. I love this swirling universe of cloves.

You do find interesting objects to draw. Now what made you go to your spice cupboard? It feels rightfully balanced to me. Don't you fret.

I would also leave it this way. Great!

Wow! What a fun choice for subject matter, and I agree, it looks beautifully balanced. It must have been very meditative to work on. Next time I'm feeling the need for calm I will have to try cloves.
