(night time is) the right time...

..for drawing cloves. Sorry, that was terrible. I was listening to Ray Charles whilst drawing it AND it did go on way into the night. Yes, it took hours. And hours. Still not sure about the composition. I can see areas where I could add a few more cloves but when do you stop?

I created this for Moleskine China's first birthday. I'm not sure how well it fits the birthday theme, but I like to think there's a party going on on the page. You'll need to click on the drawing to view it better. Excuse the hair on the scan - at least that's what I hope it is!

  7. Wow! What a fun choice for subject matter, and I agree, it looks beautifully balanced. It must have been very meditative to work on. Next time I'm feeling the need for calm I will have to try cloves.
