tags, labels and things on strings

I could have gone on and on and on with this one. I knew it was time to stop when I was considering adding a tampon to the drawing.

  1. ROFLOL!!! That statement just cracked me up!! What a hoot.

On a more serious note....each and everyone of these is just wonderful. Neat topic too.

Funny how this one looks different from the one on Flickr. The latter looks brighter. But either way, i can't get over all those strings and yarns and tags and cool prices in pounds. The composition is brilliant.

  3. Thank you both!

France - you are right about the quality of Blogger as opposed to Flickr. It's something I find really frustrating actually. Flickr, without a doubt, is the better way to view any drawing(in my opinion). Much brighter, more clear uploads on there.

    Cheers guys.

  4. I just discovered this blog and I really like your style of drawing. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who saves my Per Una labels!

  5. Wow! This is too cool Andrea! Do you really save all those tags, or did you only accumulate enough to do this drawing and then throw them out?? I just went through a pile of mail tonight I have been neglecting for months, but it didn't have any tags or labels in it!

Oooh Andrea, have you considered Typepad? That's what i have -- and i prefer their flexibility to Blogger's. www.typepad.com

  7. LOL. 'Things on Strings' indeed. Sometimes it's fun to add in what you might have edited out. It made me smile to hear what almost made it into the composition, though - fun to hear the whimsy that goes through other's minds.

All your drawings are so lovely. I enjoy catching up with them so much. Thanks!

  8. Sweet drawing Andrea!
    For me it's the common
    objects around us that
    make truly fascinating
    drawings or paintings.
    Keep up the great work!
    Cheers,
    Doug

  14. This is a forest of interesting things to look at! I can see why you had such a good time collecting the labels, arranging the composition and then drawing everything! The tampon would have worked!

  15. Hi Andrea - thanks so much for visiting my blog! I haven't got round to joining the Everyday Matters group yet, but I'm sure I will do so at some point!

  16. Thanks everyone.

I just rummaged through the closet and managed to come up with most of them. Quite a few are from teabags. But, yes, we do need to stop at some point!

    Cheers!

  17. This is amazing - I think I would have put the tampon in and said nothing - just see if anyone notices or comments :)

  18. your Moleskine drawings are beautiful - I think adding a tampon would have been a bit Tracey Emin though! (Although better drawn.)
