i've thrown the towel in

I didn't think that I'd get anytime to draw this week. I had too much other stuff to do. So I'd resigned myself to being creatively unfulfilled this week. Then I walked into the bathroom and this towel begged me to draw it. I just couldn't say no.

I'm so glad I stumbled upon your blog! You draw the most innocent looking children's faces. Just beautiful! I was hoping to come across the one you sold at the museum (congrats!), but as I read along you mentioned why it isn't here. Still, I enjoyed the early pencil sketch :)
As far as getting your picture book published, may I ask if you belong to anything like The Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators? I believe it's in the UK as well now.
I'm very lucky to be able to say I'm a published children's book author (current) and in the past I had illustrated a book which is now out of print. I recently took an intensive picture book workshop and learned so much! It was invaluable. But have I applied any of ut? No, too busy right now :/ Anyway, good luck with all of your projects! You have a lot of talent, and my advice to you is to keep working towards your dream. Best of luck!

I find it's just as difficult trying to NOT draw, as it is trying TO draw! Good luck getting everything done this week!

Beautiful - it looks so serene - in our bathroom the towels are not on any hooks!

Your drawings are getting more and more amazing, Andrea. I looked at this one closely and am -- surprise! -- in awe. I'm glad the towel begged to be drawn.

Thanks everybody!

Studio Lolo - thanks for the comment and useful information. I used to subscribe to the SCBWI UK magazine but they went online and stopped printing it. It did give out some useful info. I did try to join their online group but for some reason they didnt accept my request?!

Cheers for the coments guys and Suzanne I'm beginning to realise the truth in what you said! It certainly is more difficult NOT to draw! There was a point in time where it was quite the opposite so I won't complain.
