how's a girl supposed to sleep?

I'm off to Macynlleth today, where one of my pictures is being exhibited at The Tabernacle, the Museum of Modern Art, Wales. The exhibition is called Not Just For Children and I'm there for the opening. The picture I have on show is from The Princess and the Pea. Unfortunately I did not scan or take any photos of it, as it was submitted months ago - before I began this blog. However, I did find this original drawing from one of my sketchbooks - it is quite light I'm afraid, you'll need to click on the image for a better view. The exhibition is running until the 6th of January so if anyone happens to be in Machynlleth (I can't imagine that there'll be many of you!) go and take a look.

  4. Thanks guys, I've just got back - took me six and a half hours and four changes of train to get back. Do NOT get me started on British Rail, aaaaargh!

Teri,I didn't even take any pictures - there were so many people there and where my picture was placed was not easy to get at it. I did get my picture taken with the other artists exhibiting though. There were loads of people there a lot more than I expected. And all the artists were pointed out amongst the crowd, which for somebody who is rather shy and awkward was a little uncomfortable, still...

Johnnie, I don't want to give too much of my books away at the moment. I know that publishers don't like that - so I'm thinking ahead.

And, Andrea I would have loved you to have come with me! Let's hope it sells! Cheers all!

This illustration is gorgeous -- and i know i am repeating myself, Andrea, but everything you draw amazes me more and more. I like the little thingies hanging from the top of her socks. :-)
I would have loved to have been there to see your picture at the show.
