Bloody hell. This took some work. Over the past couple of weeks these colour ballpoints have become my favourite tools. I seem to have been using them for most of my drawings. After drawing this though I have a feeling I might just be using them less. In fact, I don't want to see them ever again! Bring back the colour pencils...
I love that you left one of them uncapped!
ReplyDeleteI agree, that one uncapped pen is a winner!! Gosh, I didn't even know they made ball points in all those colors. You sure are the master when it comes to pen art! And what a LOT of work.
ReplyDeleteYes, there is a Village of Wales and I used to live about 7 miles from there! There is not much there to tell you anything exciting about it.
Love the color and the composition!

I was wondering what pens you've been drawing with! This one is so well done! I had to go back and realize that one was indeed uncapped. :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks guys.
ReplyDeleteThis was one of those pictures that seemed to take forever. The original also looks SO much better - I'm really quite disappointed with the way it looks on here, especially as it took so long. There's another version on Flickr.
These pens do come in quite a range of colours but the yellows aren't very good so it limits you in what you can achieve.
Cheers guys!
UUUuuuu ... colour stationery ... I'm drooling already ...
ReplyDeletethanks for sharing Andrea - I love the illustration!
What a beautiful, luminous drawing! I love the chromatic progression from one side to the other. This positively glows.
ReplyDeleteGreat drawing! Rithmic, colourfull and meaningfull
ReplyDeleteWonderful!
ReplyDeleteWow - thanks. High praise indeed! And, you know, I'm really not too sure about this one.
ReplyDeleteCheers guys!

ReplyDeleteI can just imagine how look this too. The composition and colors are great.
ReplyDeleteThank you both - Janes!
ReplyDeleteAll has been said already, I could only repeat all the well deserved comments ...
ReplyDeleteThat's SO COOL!
this is really fun to look at, and I like that you left one uncapped.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much everyone.
ReplyDeleteLeo, I saw from your profile that you are in the UK - you can get these packs from Asda or Tesco, they are less than 50p a pack, no specific make.
Cheers!
Absolutely gorgeous (as are all your illustrations)! Silly I know but I can't believe how you make something so yummy from such cheap pens!
ReplyDeleteGosh, thanks Felicity!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh. I can't believe it's a drawing. I thought it was a photo at first. You're amazing and this is a great drawing!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jana for your lovely comment. This looks much better on Flickr for some reason. A much better quality upload.
ReplyDeleteI'm really surprised and flattered by the response to this picture.
Cheers!
