Hi Andrea;

Welcome both to the EDM group and to the world of Blogging! The two kind of go hand in hand as we all like to see new artwork created by our friends. Having a Blog makes it so much easier!

Your tent sketch reminds me of all the camping trips I used to do. Wonder if i can convince my ubby to go before it gets much colder? Thanks for the inspiration.

Sweet! I like your style...pre having kids, I camped a bunch and loved it. now that they're both in school, perhaps it's time to introduce a new generation to the wonders of the outdoors. welcome to EDM!

What an interesting sketch - a little mysterious, because the tent is closed. I'd like to see some notes on how you made it - it's coloured pencil?

To everyone who has taken the time to comment - thank you so much! I am completley overwhelmed by the response. It is the EDM blogs (and bloggers) that has been the inspiration for me to begin my own, and I'm glad I have. I just can't wait to get stuck into some of the challenges. I'm hoping to join in with the EDM weekly challenge and to catch up with at least one on the list per week. Thanks again I can't tell you how much I appreciate your posts. Love Andrea.

The kettle on the cute little burner is just so adorably UK!

Out here in the western US we'd either have a big roaring campfire going ...or (horrors!) folks would be microwaving their beverage in their big, ugly, monster RV while watching satellite TV.

Ha! Julie we do have those types of campers here too - but of course it being the UK it's all done on a much smaller scale! People transfer their front rooms (I'm guessing another British expression?)into their caravans and go off to a feild somewhere and spend their evenings watching the tv! I used to actually live in that tent during summers of fruit picking in Pembrokeshire - which is one of the most gorgeous parts of Wales and a place that has had a huge influence on me and my work.
