I never give up on a drawing. I'll push it to it's limit. It becomes a challenge after a while, and I will not let it get the better of me. There were many points during this one where I considered packing it in; when I felt the handle on the case was too small; when I put the stickers on the case; when I put the colour in; when I spilt some tea over the opposite page; when I put a pair of socks in to try and cover up the tea stain; when I added the rest of the clothes, that were in my case, that STILL need washing.
This drawing follows the one from the last post in my Moleskine. The case closes as you turn the page. I hope to show you that one day, soon. But right now I don't have time to sit around. I've got laundry to do.

I absolutely love it! Beautiful, fascinating and fun! It's like a sophisticated version of a children's book. (Or the old "Colorforms" playsets from the 60s!) Now I'm picturing other possibilities... like a closet door, refrigerator, kitchen cupboard, mirrored bathroom vanity!
Just came across your blog. You are the first other EDMer I have come across that is on this side of the atlantic. I am in Ireland. Your work is beautiful. I look forward to visiting again.
This is lovely, just asking to be made into a pop-up book!
Flippin GORGEOUS Andrea - as always, your ability to create texture with a lowly pen just blows my mind, and your clever creativity (the suitcase closes as you turn the page!!) humbles and enchants me.
Oh, my, I reallly AM ROFL! Abou the time you spilled the tea, I started giggling (my beverage of choice for spills is coffee!) and then the sock and the rest of the laundry - too, too funny! I always feel I need a vacation day to recoup from my vacation! LOVE that the suitcase closes when you turn the page!!!
Serendipitous tea spilling! Way to go, Andrea! Made for a VERY yummy drawing, to be sure!
You are so clever and this is so wonderful!!
The case, both inside and out, is brilliant! And I love the jumble of clothes in the top right of the next page ... off to the laundry, is it? I absolutely love both this and the interior!
Wow...this drawing really did create a lot of frustrations...but, believe me, it was totally worth it. You've got a beautiful addition to your sketchbook...case closed!
Haha! I love that your drawing is disrupted by laundry, same way here.
A great idea and lovely scatch!!!
I so adore the colorful badges on the suitcase:)
Thank you all folks. I really appreciate your comments and visits. Ta.
This series is so enjoyable and so creative. I loved reading about all the things that almost made you want to quit but that persistent and perseverance totally paid off.
Awesome!!!!
